(Review) Lancome Paris High Résolution Refill-3X

Okay guys, I'm back for another review. I know I said I was going to do the BB cream reviews but there was a product I was so super disappointed in that I wanted to do it first, just in case you guys ever decide you want to purchase it.

From the title of this you probably can already guess what product it is.

Yes, that's correct. It is the Lancome Paris High Resolution Refill-3X.

And let me tell you that it was a big disappointment.

I purchased this without looking up other blogger reviews and I should have totally done that >.< But anyways, please read on.

Description:

All skin types

Skin Truth
With age, elastin fibers degrade, hyaluronic acid reserves become depleted and collagen coils loosen. Deep wrinkles set in.

Lancome Innovation
For the first time, Lancome introduces a breakthrough Refill-3X complex that helps boost the synthesis of elastin, hyaluronic acid and collagen. Elastin fibers are renewed and protected. The production of hyaluronic acid-- a highly potent moisturizer- is accelerated. Collagen synthesis is stimulated. Lines and wrinkles appear pushed up and out, as though refilled from within. Skin recaptures its youthful beauty.

Visible anti-wrinkle results
Immediately, skin feels significantly softer and smoother. In 1 week, wrinkles are visibly smoothed. SKin looks more luminous and feels significantly firmer. In 4 weeks, the number, depth and size of wrinkles are significantly reduced. Skin is noticeably more supple and plumped.

*In-vitro testing on Di-Peptide and Alfalfa Extract shows a boost in the synthesis of elastin, hyaluronic acid and collagen.

Scent/Texture: A very rose like scent very close to a baby powder smell but in rose. Almost all Lancome products have this sort of scent to them. It's not very overwhelming so it's not a big problem. The texture is rather creamy, not hard to spread so that's a plus.

Price: $82 for 50g at http://www.lancome-usa.com/

My Review/Results: I originally purchased this for my mom to try since she was starting to wrinkle around her cheeks and lip area. When she first used it, it caused her eyes to burn and water even though she tried to stay farther away from her eyes. Afterwards, white flakes started to come up and that has never happened to her before. But because of how expensive it was for just 50g, she tried to use it for a month and see how it goes. We decided to just apply it around her mouth so that her eyes wouldn't burn which kinds of defeats the purpose of being able to use this around her whole face >.<. Anyways, after one week we checked the results and really there was no difference. She still tried it for the whole month and there was still no difference. Her face was much more moisturized but that wasn't the purpose of why we decided to buy this product. There was a promise of wrinkles being smoothed in 1 week and for them to be reduced in the number, depth, and size in 4 weeks. After that I took to the internet and learned more from other bloggers (Big thanks to everyone who happens to blog!). Almost everyone thought the same thing I did, which was that this product was just an over expensive moisturizer. It did nothing for wrinkles and showed no results. I was very upset about this.  So we decided to take it for another spin just in case since it would just sit there if we didn't test it. So we ended up testing on my sisters face. She has a very prominent wrinkle on her forehead from looking up too much or something idk. And still, her forehead was very moisturized but the wrinkle did not diminish in number, depth or size. It was supposed to refill-3x and smooth out wrinkles so that they are not prominent. So to all my sisters out there, don't purchase this unless you are looking for a very expensive moisturizer for your face. It will not help with wrinkles contrary to the claims on this product. I felt like I was cheated because this was the first thing I bought for my mom to try and it ended up in failure. T_T

Pros

  • Very moisturizing
  • Smooths skin
  • Pleasant Scent
  • Nice packaging
  • Has SPF 15 Sunscreen

Cons

  • Does nothing for wrinkles
  • Cause eyes to burn
  • White flakes come up after a couple of hours

Conclusion: 1/9(Just for the moisturizing part)

Will I buy this again? No. NEEEEEVVVVVVVEEEEEEERRRRR.... Ahem...

I guess this would be some sort of warning for the people who want to try this product. Hopefully this will help people out! =D

See you guys in the next post! :)
